Charity work

Highways Adjusting are delighted to announce that their chosen charity for 2015 will be Prostate Cancer UK. HAL will be holding numerous fund raising events throughout 2015 and have also committed to donating a fixed percentage of yearly profits to the charity.

Director Guy Johnson says “this is a charity which is very close to me personally. I lost my father to Prostate Cancer in 2007 and others close to me have also been impacted by the disease. It is the most common cancer amongst men with over 40,000 males likely to be diagnosed this year alone. Not only is the intention to raise awareness but also to hopefully raise as much money as possible for this worthwhile charity”.

It is with a little trepidation that Director Guy Johnson has announced that along with 6 other of his “friends rapidly approaching middle age” he has agreed to undertake the famous and challenging Coast to Coast bike ride in July 2015.

The ride includes, 3 days in the saddle cycling from Morecambe to Bridlington covering some 170 miles.

Guy says, “well having not even sat on a bike since I was 21, its fair to suggest that here in January this is a little daunting. Training has begun and I'm just staying focused on the amazing Fish and Chips which I have been promised at the finish line”.

“This is however an excellent opportunity for me to try and raise some charitable donations for our 2015 nominated charity, Prostate Cancer UK. Links will go up here in the next few weeks”
